New Work

Thursday, June 23Saturday, July 23

SAIC Galleries, 33 E. Washington St.

New Work showcases projects by current SAIC undergraduate and graduate students selected through portfolio reviews by the SAIC Exhibitions and Exhibition Studies Committee. The works examine the dualities of individual and collective spaces and experiences through ritual, history, technology, and environment. They address practices of both industrial and natural consumption, emphasizing forms of temporality as well as underlining relationships between imagined and existing realities. Through their works, the artists look to question and subvert these omnipresent ideas, creating areas for growth and new understandings.

Artists include Iréne Niké Alberty-Cardona, Elizabeth Burden, Tallulah Cartalucca, Matthew Cortez, Nick D'Alessandro, Clara Emery, Becs Epstein, Vivi Niya Gao, Philipp Groth, Lillian Heredia, Hai-Wen Lin, TONG LIU, Sino Park, Clark Woods, and Ryan Z.

Artist Activations:
Becs Epstein: July 1, 7, 22 at 5:00 p.m. and July 23 at 2:00 p.m.
