For SAIC Galleries’ winter pop-up project, SAIC professor Katrin Schnabl presents Volution--three of her dynamic and vivid 10-foot scrolls suspended in the street-level gallery windows. Capturing movement and light, the dimensional pattern cutting of the transparent, colorful mesh material engages the viewer to explore the body’s spatial awareness and activate the senses. The exhibition will be viewable only through the street-level windows of SAIC Galleries from December 23 to January 2. In-gallery visits will be available December 13 to 22, 2022, and January 3 to 6, 2023, Monday to Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
