Bios: 

Kris Liu is a visual artist from China. She has a background in Biology, Photography, and Video art. She is interested in the quotidian aspects of life and their representation in visual mediums. In her latest documentary, she explored a dialectical relationship between two generations through collaboration with her mother and vernacular phone footage.

 

Alex Esin is a filmmaker who makes video essays investigating the intersection between media and political philosophy. In his work, he looks at how different mediums, especially film and photography, use realistic images to shape our understanding of sociopolitical concepts while also considering how and to what outcome ideologies affect the creation and consumption of media.

 

Born in 1985, Lin Chen is an experimental filmmaker from China who has a diverse background in industries such as construction engineering and advertising. His films explore the subtleties of everyday family life and universal human experiences, through personal diaries, video installations, and blurring the boundaries of fiction and documentary.
