Struggling to keep your citations organized? Piling too many images on your desktop while you’re researching? Seeking new ways to maximize your searching? If you answered yes to any of these questions or just want to up your research game - this series is for you! 

All students, no matter their research interests or academic level, are welcome to join one or all of these workshops in our Get Your Research Life Together series. These are hybrid events - join us in the library classroom or online! We encourage you to RSVP for any workshop you plan to attend, but an RSVP is required If you would like to join via Zoom; please fill out this form to RSVP. 2/8, 5:00 p.m. - Control Your Citations

This workshop focuses on using Zotero, a free, open source tool for citation management. There will also be opportunities to ask general questions about citing works and giving credit. Bring your laptop and get ready to take back control of your citations! 

2/15, 5:00 p.m. - Organize Your Images

In this workshop you will use Tropy to organize your creative or academic research images. We will also discuss best practices for preserving digital images and the basics of image copyright. Bring your laptop with any images you’re ready to organize! 

4/19, 5:00 p.m. - File Fiercely

File management may sound boring, but building a consistent practice is key to making your research life easier. Learn more about managing and preserving your digital files at this workshop!

4/26, 5:00 p.m. - Research Beyond SAIC  

Have you wondered how you’ll do research once you don’t have access to Flaxman’s databases and resources? This workshop will focus on using common tools to find open educational resources and other useful information on the open web. Discover how to research beyond your time at SAIC!
