Ruby Que is a Chicago-based installation artist and filmmaker. In their work they adopt strays and revive ghosts. Many of their projects explore various forms of ruination, such as abandoned sites, obsolete media, and traumatic memories. Shifting between different cinematic formats and modes of (re)presentation, their practice occupies the gaps between past and present, alien and familiar. They often engage the audience as co-authors as human connection is at the center of their art.
