Mari Eastman holds an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. She has exhibited at the Hammer Museum (Los Angeles), Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, The Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles), The Orange County Museum of Art (Newport Beach), the Berkeley Museum of Art, Monte Clark Gallery (Vancouver), Cherry and Martin Gallery (Los Angeles), Victoria Miro (London), Colette (Paris), Barbara Gladstone Gallery (New York), and numerous other venues. Her work has been included in such publications as Modern Painters, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Flash Art, The New Yorker, and on artforum.com. 

Eastman is represented by Goldfinch Gallery in Chicago and Monte Clark in Vancouver.   Her paintings and drawings are currently featured on a collection of "RADARTE" shirts and sweatshirts by the Los Angeles based fashion designers Rodarte.  Her group show "The International Boutique for Middle-Aged Ladies" will open at Goldfinch Gallery November 3, and includes the artists and designers Andy Coolquit, Caitlin Lonegan, Jasmin Shokrian, and Matt Morris among others.  She lives and works in Chicago and is on the faculty of SAIC's Painting & Drawing department.
