Elizabeth Loftus

Bio:
Elizabeth Loftus’ current body of work addresses issues of over production and excessive consumption. At times she approaches the heaviness of the subject from a whimsical perspective while still allowing the viewer access through the title or an element within the painting. Other Works in her current collection employ the use of actual plastic waste to encourage the viewer to identify with the vast amount of plastic we all use daily. In many of the paintings she uses bright fluorescent color to indicate environmental toxicity, while her sculptural objects are simply painted black or gold.
