Summer Institute Residency: Important Dates and Deadlines

For detailed steps on how to register, please visit Registration Information and review the instructions. There is no registration deadline for domestic students, however, spaces are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and therefore early registration is encouraged.

International Student Registration Deadline: April 1!

International students requiring visa support from SAIC must register by March 2, 2020.

Merit Scholarship Deadline is Extended: April 1!

All students are eligible to apply for merit scholarship. Registration and merit scholarship applications are accepted and processed as space and funds allow. After this deadline, SAIC cannot guarantee funding will be available.

Need-Based Financial Aid Deadline is Extended: April 1!

Registration and need-based financial aid applications are accepted and processed as space and funds allow. After this deadline, need-based financial aid will be reviewed on a case-by case basis—SAIC cannot guarantee funding will be available after this date.

Note: Need-based financial aid is available to US residents only. International students may apply for a merit scholarship.

Cancellation and Schedule Changes

Continuing Studies reserves the right to cancel or alter the fees, schedule, or staffing of courses when circumstances warrant. If a cancellation or change is necessary, students will be notified prior to the first class, and students enrolled in canceled courses will have the option of taking another class or receiving a full refund.

Note: Courses with low enrollment may be canceled, thus early registration is encouraged.

Payment Information

The payment deadline has been extended to June 15, 2020.

If you have not made payment by this date you are at risk of being dropped from your selected courses.

  • If you need to drop a class, all drop requests must be submitted in writing to ecp@saic.edu and include the student's name, ID number, and course information.
  • One hundred percent of the tuition charge, not including the $100 nonrefundable tuition deposit, is refundable if courses are dropped by June 15, 2020.* If a course is dropped after the deadline, no refund will be granted.*

You may complete your payment online at saic.edu/cspayment. You may also submit your payment by mailing a personal check or money order with the student's full name and ID in the reference section to:
