Musial Jean-marc c. 2013

Join Alain Jugnon for a reading from and conversation about his book a body, in spite, a slight philosophy for actors, with writer-translator Nathanaël. They will discuss the porous borders between theory and practice, under the auspices of philosophy, theatre, and poetry. Jugnon's Artaud in Amerika will premier in December as a radio play commissioned for the 2017 Festival of Poets Theater in Chicago. Festival co-curator Patrick Durgin will join in to discuss the piece. Co-sponsored by the Departments of Liberal Arts and Visual & Critical Studies, and the France-Chicago Center at the University of Chicago.
