Edra Soto

Edra Soto (b. Puerto Rico) is a Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist, educator, curator, and co-director of the outdoor project space THE FRANKLIN. Her recent projects are motivated by civic and social actions focus on fostering relationships with a wide range of communities.

 

The Visiting Artist lecture will be followed by Graduate presentations by Seomy Ahn, Gibran Mevlana, and Shin Miyake.

  • Seomy Ahn will be presenting about circling of endless loop in pursuit of something that cannot be obtained.
  • Shinnosuke Miyake will present a process of making an abstraction.
  • Gibran Mevlana will discuss material process and the converging of ideas.
