Patrick Spence, Associate Dean of Student Affairs for Campus Life

Patrick began his time at SAIC as a Residence Hall Director, opening the 162 N. State Street Residence Hall.  After working with the Residence Life team for many years, Patrick moved to Campus Life, where he was able to oversee the opening of the LeRoy Neiman Center in 2012. Patrick is especially proud of supporting the passionate student group leaders that have such a central place in the SAIC community.  Patrick has a Master's Degree from Texas A&M University, and a Ph.D.from Loyola University Chicago in Higher Education Administration.

Anything regarding Campus Life.  Patrick wants to work to continue to support SAIC students in building a vibrant SAIC community, and helping students find their place here. Patrick supports the Campus Life team with their efforts in running the Neiman Center, supporting student groups, and facilitating New Student Orientation and Welcome Week. Patrick works closely with the Campus Life Team on SAIC's annual Commencement Ceremony, the Family Weekend in October, as well as working closely with parents of SAIC students to make sure that parents can best support their students during their time here.
