Bio

Jeni Emery was born in Ojai, California. She received her BFA in illustration at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in 2012. Using unconventional materials, Jeni pulls color inspiration from a lifetime spent in Southern California. She works intuitively to create abstract paintings that don’t shy away from childish mark-making, and that push beyond the perceived boundaries of her medium. If she plays her cards right, Jeni will receive her MFA in painting and drawing in the Spring of 2019.
