LRMFA Summer Residency Experience
Something I was looking to in an MFA program was to work along peers of different backgrounds and disciplines. This need has been satisfied in the Low Res community. The interaction with my cohort expanded the learning landscape of the program. The intensity of the six weeks together (students and professors) made each summer an unique experiment in community and practice.
LRMFA Online Experience
Fall and Spring became the opportunity of building on the foundations laid in the summer residency with the guidance of the studio mentor. I developed ideas and work that had been tested in the summer. I did not have, and truly missed, the physical proximity and immediacy of the residency, but the conversations were still there, in a different pace, and with a different format.
