Nick Franco (MAAE 2013) makes paintings using microscopic images from his dermatologist father's medical books. The Chicago Tribune explains that Franco uses a graphic design program to alter the images that he prints onto canvas and then works over with acrylic paint. In March these paintings were featured inDermatology Times Magazine.
For more than 155 years, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) has been a leader in educating the world’s most influential artists, designers, and scholars.
