SAIC Alum Ghaleya Almansoori Realizes Her Thesis Project: A Mobile Art Studio
Alum Ghaleya Almansoori (MA 2023) brings Kenaz, a mobile art studio, to the United Arab Emirates. Launched as part of her Art Education thesis, Kenaz offers workshops blending modern techniques and traditional crafts. This project empowers rural communities in Abu Dhabi with art education and creativity.

Meet Ghaleya
Alum Ghaleya Almansoori (MA 2023) brings Kenaz, a mobile art studio, to the United Arab Emirates. This project empowers rural communities in Abu Dhabi with art education and creativity.

Kenaz’s workshops include a variety of art educational programs such as printmaking, traditional spice painting, Talli embroidery, and mosaic lanterns. Almansoori’s goal is to inspire creativity for all.
Future Plans
Kenaz's journey keeps expanding. Almansoori aims to establish a permanent space for exhibitions and courses while expanding Kenaz’s reach. A larger facility on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi will accommodate school trips, ensuring even more communities benefit from creative education.
