PROPOSAL GUIDELINES
Participants may ask to be linked either with design professionals or local residents to develop collaborative proposals or may choose to develop proposals independently.
Proposals do not need to conform to a specific format, but the following should be included:
concept description: one paragraph to several pages
visuals: could include drawings (color or bl & wh), maps, diagrams, details, photos, collages, digital images, examples of related structures or sites, etc. (Site plan, elevations, sections, isometrics, axonometrics, and perspectives are welcome, but not required.)
Other considerations:
models: if you make a 3-D model, please send photograph of model
language: English or Spanish
digital submissions: ok by disk or email (zip disks will be returned with SASE) but please consider creating proposal for exhibition format
eligibility: no restrictions
registration: registration of your intent to submit a proposal would be appreciated; please send email to apalme@artic.edu, or write to P.O. Box # (below)

schedule: proposals should be received by: June 30, 2001; exhibition and publication release planned for Fall 2001
LOCAL CHICAGO PARTICIPANTS: call for extended deadline information!
copyright: one time permission requested for publication, copyright reverts to author/maker; permission also requested to present work in exhibition
waiver: participants should understand that these are speculative proposals and no one has any obligation to implement any of these proposals
