About SAIC on iTunes U
SAIC on iTunes U provides access to a wide range of SAIC-related digital, audio and video content via the iTunes Music Store, Apple's popular music jukebox and online music store.
This includes two sites:
a public site which includes featured SAIC faculty, courses and visiting artist lectures; special events and symposia; featured departments and more. To access this site students, faculty and staff will have to login with their saic.edu account information. Access is also provided in the SAIC portal at http://go.artic.edu.
an access-restricted site for students, faculty and staff of SAIC only delivering course-based materials and advising content.
At this time only SAIC students, faculty and staff are able to access both the public and access-restricted sites.

What is iTunes U?
iTunes U is a free, cross-platform multimedia distribution and learning environment wherein educational content - course audio/video lectures and supplemental course-related material - is hosted online and made available to students. In addition to course-related material, lectures and presentations from SAIC public events, exhibitions, radio broadcasts, and interviews can be delivered through iTunes U.

Every track you download from SAIC on iTunes U is automatically added to a "School of the Art Institute of Chicago" playlist for you. You can also create your own custom playlists with just the tracks that you want, arranged in the order you'd like them to play.

Then, go directly to our iTunes U page via the "enter" links above.
Podcasting is delivering audio/video content to portable media players on demand, so that it can be listened to at the user's convenience. The main benefit of podcasting is that listeners can sync content to their media player and take it with them to listen whenever they want to. Because podcasts are typically saved in MP3 format, they can also be listened to on nearly any computer.
Content downloaded from SAIC on iTunes U appears in a smart playlist called "SAIC" in the playlists section of the iTunes application.
In the near future, we plan to introduce RSS feeds to select parts of the site which may be subscribed to and located in the "Podcasts" section of the iTunes application.
Currently, you must use the iTunes application to download content. Apple offers a free Windows version of iTunes at http://www.apple.com/itunes.

There are a growing number of SAIC faculty, staff, and students creating and listening to podcasts. Whether or not you've experienced how podcasting can enhance teaching and learning, if you are interested in learning from others who are exploring this technology, we welcome you to join the community!
