Vote for the RBSC to receive funding!

Help Give Away $1 Million in Chicagoland AND Help the RBSC at the same time!

We are thrilled to announce that American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation just named the Roger Brown Study Collection to participate in this year’s Partners in Preservation program.  Under this initiative, we are eligible to vie for $1 million in preservation funding.

As one of the 25 sites selected, we are now competing in a five-week online contest that invites the Chicago community and other constituents nationwide to cast votes for the landmarks they would most like to see receive the prize money.  The site that earns the highest number of public votes is guaranteed to receive funding. Vote early, vote often.  If we win, we will be able to do valuable bricks and mortar preservation activities in our 1926 N. Halsted St. roof, masonry, and door restoration project.

Your support is needed.  Here’s how you can help us:
From September 6 through October 10, visit www.partnersinpreservation.com to cast your vote for the Roger Brown Study Collection. You can vote once daily.  If you would like to receive a daily reminder to vote, please email lstone@saic.edu, with “remind me to vote” in the subject line, and you’ll receive a daily e-mail reminder.

Please join us in this high-tech twist on historic preservation and help protect Chicago’s  treasured cultural heritage, and the Roger Brown Study Collection.
