While light and its absence are everyday phenomena, the students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago treated the matter of light as a tangible and formable substance -- an extraordinary material for design exploration. The result of their experimentation was 18%GRAY, presented with the Milanese design company, Industreal, during the occasion of Salone del Mobile, April, 2008.
