Self-Service Help
The SAIC Self-Service version 9 web tool allows you to update your contact information and to view your class schedule, grades, tuition and fees account, and financial aid information.
To access your personal school contact, academic, and financial information, you will first need to log in to the Portal, click on the Self Service quicklink (on the Home Page, left column). Your Self-Service login information is the same as your artic.edu/portal account.

ARTIC Account
As a Student, Faculty or Staff of the School, you have received an ARTIC Account. With it you will have access to the digital resources in the School. When you receive this account it is INACTIVE. Before you can use your account you must activate it at http://getconnected.artic.edu. You can also contact the SAIC Computer Resources and Information Technology (CRIT) Help Desk via e-mail at crithd@saic.edu, or at 312-345-3535 for assistance activating your ARTIC Account.
Please note that if you do not activate your ARTIC account, the Portal will not be able to deliver e-mails to you. The undelivered e-mails are not saved and are returned to the sender with an error message.
Change ARTIC Account Password
Use the following link to change the password, both the e-mail and Portal passwords will be changed at the same time (same password).

The change password page is ONLY AVAILABLE ON-CAMPUS. If you are off-campus, or you can't remember your current password, you will need to go to the CRIT Help Desk.Locations and Hours

Login Problems
If you experience problems logging in to the Portal, please review the following known issues.
Didn't Receive the Oracle Login Page?
Allow Popup Windows in your Browser
Go to your Firefox or other web browser and choose the Firefox drop down menu
Select Preferences
Choose the Content tab at the top of the page
Uncheck the top option: Block pop-up windows
Using the Safari browser?
A current portal bug exists when using the Safari browser. Please use the Firefox web browser instead.

Received a Session Expired message?
Clear Cookies in your Browser
Go to your Firefox or other web browser and choose the Firefox drop down menu
Select Preferences
Choose the Privacy tab at the top of the page
Select the Show Cookies button
Select the Remove All Cookies button
Log out of the Portal and Login again
Login to Self-Service
Clear the Cache
Every web browser stores web pages, images, cookies, and other downloaded content on the computer. This is called the browser's cache. Clearing it occasionally or regularly can protect your privacy and free up some space in your computer. Since every browser is different, the above helpful page will outline the steps involved in clearing the cache for several popular web browsers.
