Computing Labs

CRIT manages, supports, and co-facilitates several types of computer labs and facilities on SAIC's campus. Labs, classrooms and kiosks are all connected to SAIC's high-speed network. General Access labs are available to the entire SAIC community, and are primarily designed for student work and research. Though departmental labs have specific access guidelines and hours, General Access and Residential labs are available for 24hr. access.

Computer Teaching Classrooms are designed for departmental use to conduct classes using computers as part of the curriculum. Faculty members should be authorized or orientated on their classrooms before the first day of class. Faculty may contact CRIT's Instructional Resource Coordinator for information regarding classrooms.

Department or program specific labs carry the specific access guidelines and hours set up by the particular program administration. Contact the department directly to find out about available equipment and access. Departments with their own labs include: Art & Technology, Fiber and Material Studies, Film, Video, and New Media, Historic Preservation, AIADO, Photography, Printmedia, Sculpture, and Visual Communications.
