There are four different types of payments offered through the Co-op Program:
Most Co-op jobs pay something, with the rate of pay determined by each participating employer and generally set in the $9.00 to $15.00 per-hour range. When your employer pays you directly, you are responsible for following all of the guidelines your employer sets forth.
The Federal Work-Study Program
The employer must be a non-profit, tax-exempt organization and agree to our matching requirement. The Co-op office sets your hourly rate and will authorize you to get paid for 210 hours per semester (based on three credits). Students are paid through the student payroll system at the School.
There are a limited number of Federal Work Study positions available every semester.
Non-paying Co-op Positions
Since the primary focus of the Co-op Program is to provide a valuable, arts-related learning experience for our students, the program does not exclude employers who are unable to offer paid Co-op work experiences.
