What is the Cooperative Education Internship Program (Co-op)?

In simple terms, Co-op is a class, a non-traditional class, that is.  It is an opportunity to extend your education beyond the classroom by working in professional arts-related environments while earning course credit.

What does this mean to you?

This is a chance to connect your education at SAIC with the world of work.  Combining your classroom experience with workplace practice and culture, you may develop clarity about your academic goals and artistic practices.

You will also gain knowledge and skills to enhance your interpersonal skills and better prepare you for future professional opportunities and employment.

It’s a chance to discover collaboration, work with different perspectives and develop confidence to make decisions, skills necessary in arts related work environments and beyond.
And perhaps most importantly, it’s an opportunity to explore career options while establishing a work history and building a network to build from for future employment and post-graduate professional development.

Who’s eligible for Co-op?

  • Degree seeking students who are in good academic standing
  • Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students
