In recent years, there has been a proliferation of Internet art projects. Many of these projects are perpetual in nature. The medium, itself, allows the artist to easily achieve perpetuity. Participatory artwork is facilitated through the Internet's wide-reach, which provides more opportunities to engage individuals. Though Internet-based projects are not included in the exhibition at the Sullivan Galleries, we recognize these as a significant to contemporary artistic practice.
