Ideas emerge in my practice out of an investigative impulse to hone in on moments of tension and accidental communications (with their disembodied speakers). I desire neither to specify or flatten the particularities of the experience, the fragility and ephemeral aspects of the original experiences, and the necessary instability of the rearticulation for a viewer, are aspects of the process I enjoy lingering on. Duration and temporal space has formed the basis for the impetus towards video and broadcast focused works, in an effort to establish "fragile" connections to themes of memory, subjectivity and space.
