Vanessa Dion Fletcher is a multidisciplinary artist working in performance, video, and printmaking. She received a B.F.A (honors) from York University in 2005 and is pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Performance at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Dion Fletcher's work Relationship or Transaction is currently touring galleries in southern Ontario as part of the exhibtion Reading The Talk. In addition to her own art practice, Dion Fletcher works with the Aboriginal Education Centur at the Toronto District School Board facilitating workshops for teachers and students. Dion Fletcher uses, wampum, porcupine qills and blood as matirials to think about what defines our bodies' physically and culturally.
