I am actively working on two projects. Breathing Above the Treeline is a narrative short I wrote, directed and produced based on a true story in Chicago. It is about Serena, a recent convert to Buddhism, who tries to convince a new acquaintance going through a brutal divorce that god exists. The film is currently in post-production at Beast. In addition I am developing a new dramatic short also based on a true story which I am currently writing and will direct called Belle about a boozy, damaged 15-year old who gets the part of Belle in a stage production of Beauty and the Beast. I have expertise in screenwriting, story design, story architecture, three-act structure, character development, dialogue and archetype.
