Personal Statement

Gabe Galloway is a civil rights lawyer practicing in Chicago and throughout the nation. At SAIC, Gabe teaches legal concepts pertinent to the practices of artists, for example copyright and licensing issues and issues pertaining to censorship and obscenity prosecution. Gabe also sits on the board of Latitude, a community digital lab in Chicago.

Current Interests

Obscenity prosecution, photography and online bullying laws, First Amendment and freedom of expression, information ethics; Anne Bernays, Nikki S. Lee, Richard Billingham.
