Personal Statement

David Joel Thomas has received advanced training in both philosophy and architecture. In his practice, both philosophical and artistic, he tacitly maps a shift in the general regimes of thinking and designing away from their classical eidetic appropriation toward their resolution in the morphological play of continuous variation. Resisting the sovereign, static, transcendental, and efficient geometries of Classical and Modern philosophy and architecture, he concocts supple, dynamic, material processes of interminable philosophical and architectural production.
