All images are, on some level, kinetic, since they represent moments that imply a surrounding continuum. When this context isn't provided, the mind creates it out of whole cloth. Through animation, sequencing, installation, and video, my work plays with, fractures, and imagines alternate sequences. Much of my artistic output is concerned with the spaces between, before/after, around, or attendant to the photographic image. Through transmutation, alteration, animation, destruction, etc. I disrupt the transaction between viewer and image, hoping to provoke analysis and hinder absorption.
