Experience at SAIC

I love being a part of the vital and diverse community here at SAIC. I have taught First Year Seminars on gentrification and Chicago neighborhoods and on urban politics. I also teach advanced courses in political theory and political science.

Next fall I am teaching a Topics in Political Science course (SOCSCI 3567-001) that will cover revolutions and constitution-making, post-colonial theory, and globalization. Email me if you want to know more about the course.

Personal Statement

I have my PhD in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and my past research has focused on urban movements and revolutionary iconography. I am currently engaged in a book project on my dissertation topic, and a local research project on public art in three Chicago neighborhoods.

Current Interests

I read a lot of science fiction and enjoy bicycling to work.
