I believe that the most successful designs are those held accountable to history, theory, and the built environment. Working with the vernacular, I critically dissect buildings: manipulating, preserving, and re-using materials and spaces. My work promotes the idea that buildings and cities are in a constant evolution, much like their inhabitants, constantly adapting and seeking new modes for survival.
