Personal Statement

By engaging with texts from numerous angles and through various modules, students become increasingly equipped to analyze class readings, write clearly and powerfully about their content and themes, relate each text to previous texts, build their skills incrementally throughout the term, and personally engage with the material. Each journey culminates in a final synthesis paper in which students investigate how the course materials relate to their own life practices and goals and contemporary society as a whole.
