Personal Statement

Priyoshi Kapur is a Creative Director and Motion Design Lecturer based in Chicago. She has worked for R/GA, Critical Mass, VMLY&R, and Havas, some of the world's leading advertising agencies. She has contributed to the launch of various brands like PepsiCo's bubly sparkling water, Equality Can't Wait with a Melinda Gates company, a Super Bowl social campaign for bubly sparkling water, ads for Modelo, and hypebeast campaigns for adidas. Her work has earned awards in The One Show, Webby's, Comm Arts, Effies, and more. She continues to push the world of advertising to become more purpose-driven, engaging, and conceptually challenging. Along with maintaining a strong voice and presence in her industry as a creative and first-generation woman of color, she aims to lead students by example. She teaches Type+Image in Motion, an introductory motion design course, which immerses students into the world of motion design and how its application can be universal in today's industry. She was awarded Part-Time Faculty of the Year in 2023 for her contributions to SAIC.
