Visiting Artist Lecturer Catherine Opie Recommended by Chicago Reader
The AGENDA section of the September 6 issue of the Chicago Reader recommended SAIC’s William and Stephanie Sick Distinguished Professor Lecture delivered by Catherine Opie on September 10 to open this fall’s Visiting Artists Program. Beside an image of Opie’s portrait, Cate, contributor Jordan Larson urged readers to attend and hear insights on the photographer’s captivating work, “focusing especially on forms of documentary and theories of belonging.”
