Alumni Featured in Group Show on Racial Violence

Several SAIC alumni are featured in the Brooklyn Museum's show The Legacy of Lynching: Confronting Racial Terror in America. As part of a partnership with the nonprofit Equal Justice Initiative, the exhibition combines research on the history of violence against Black people and communities with works from the museum's collection.

Alum's Film Wins Top Prize at Jerusalem Film Festival

Hong Sang-soo’s (MFA 1989) film On the Beach at Night Alone won the prestigious Wilf Family Foundation Award (worth $20,000) for best international film at the 34th Jerusalem Film Festival, reports Variety. The jury called Sang-soo’s film “a mysterious magic, rooted in the heart of daily life” that he had crafted with “the simplest of cinematic tools.”
