Student Designs Showcased at United Colors of Benetton Flagship Store
On October 5 the Chicago edition of Racked.com highlighted The White Dress Project—a collaboration between United Colors of Benetton and SAIC’s fashion department. Inside Benetton’s newly renovated flagship store, Fashion Professor Nick Cave curated a presentation of all-white designs by SAIC students “intended to compliment and contrast the United Colors of Benetton Fall 2012 collection.” Refinery29 also contributed flattering coverage and Zimbio published more than 50 photos from the store. Participating designers from the BFA class of 2014 included Julia Chang, Morgan Childers, Bridget Crowe, Margaux Franco, Tenley George, Rosa Halpern, Simone James, Roy Lee, M. Camille Macrae, Laura McCall, Shay Troy, and Amanda Vaeth.
