SAIC Faculty and Alumni Awarded the Berlin Prize Fellowship

SAIC faculty member Daniel Eisenberg (FVNMA) and alumnus Sanford Biggers (MFA 1999) were recently named to the American Academy in Berlin’s 2014–15 Class of Berlin Prize Fellows. The prestigious prize is awarded each year to scholars, writers, and artists, and provides a monthly stipend, board, and residence at Hans Arnhold Center in Berlin-Wannsee for an academic semester. Berlin Prize fellows can explore projects and engage in discourse with their German counterparts. Eisenberg will be part of the fall 2014 class to work on his project, “The Unstable Object - Part Two” while Biggers, a professor at the School of Arts at Columbia University, will form the class of spring 2015.
