SAIC and SNL Alumna Stars in New One-Woman Show

In the August 14 edition of the Chicago Sun-Times, SAIC and “Saturday Night Live” alumna Nora Dunn (1970—72) discusses her one-woman show “Mythical Proportions,” presented through September 22 at Theater Wit. The actress-comedian brings life to an expansive cast of characters in her 70-minute stage show, including seven-year-old Joanna, who has inhibited her imagination since early childhood. “The show is made up of four monologues in character, plus several stories about my own mythology,” Dunn says. “I’ve been doing Joanna for years—ever since I got a doll as a Christmas gift and created a voice for her. My mom even took me to a doctor who told her not to worry, she was just my ‘imaginary friend.’”
