MFA 2013 Guest Curator Awarded Prestigious Position

On November 6 Williams College Museum of Art announced the appointment of Lisa Dorin as the new deputy director for curatorial affairs.  An alumna of the college’s graduate art history program, Dorin currently works as the associate curator of contemporary art at the Art Institute of Chicago. She has served as a visiting lecturer and critic at SAIC, and was recently named one of four guest curators of SAIC’s upcoming MFA 2013 exhibition. “Drawing from her notable work with living artists, Lisa brings new and emerging curatorial practices to Williams,” states Christina Olden, director of William College Museum of Art. “Her knowledge and experience will be instrumental in building a new vision for the college’s museum in the 21st century.”
