Graduate Architecture Program Ranked #7 in the Nation
A new ratings system based solely on student reviews places SAIC's grad program for Architecture among the nation's top ten. SAIC was ranked number 7 in the top-25 list published November 1, ahead of such traditional powerhouses as Harvard (9th) and Columbia University (20th).
SAIC offers two Master of Architecture (MArch) degree programs in four tracks that are accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). The accreditation makes alumni eligible for professional licensure. Only two other schools in Chicago offer NAAB-accredited degrees, and SAIC’s MArch degree is one of just five nationwide that are accredited by NAAB among all those granted by the 41 members of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD).
The rankings represent a year of reviews from current and recent graduate students compiled by graduateprograms.com, an organization that solicits online feedback from students who qualify to win a scholarship from the nonprofit Graduate Programs Foundation based on their participation. Fifteen ranking categories are assigned to each graduate program at each graduate school. Rankings cover a variety of student topics, such as academic competitiveness, career support, financial aid, and quality of network. This year's rankings are based on reviews posted by more than 40,000 students participating in more than 1,300 graduate programs nationwide.
