Chicagoist highlights Chris Sullivan’s film Consuming Spirits—and its 15-year history of creation—featured in this year’s Chicago International Film Festival.

Chicago Int’l Film Fest Screens Epic Project by SAIC Faculty Member
Popular city blog Chicagoist covered SAIC faculty member Chris Sullivan (Film, Video, New Media, and Animation), whose film Consuming Spirits is featured in this year’s Chicago International Film Festival, in its October 8 preview coverage of CIFF. Reviewer Rob Christopher calls the film a “mesmerizing, darkly humorous chronicle of the complicated family lives of several disturbed citizens in a small Appalachian town.” He also says that, “Sullivan, who also wrote, produced, and contributed voices and music, takes the audience on quite a journey.” Sullivan is scheduled to attend the October 16 screening of the feature.
