Alumnus Honored by West Side School

On May 8 during a reception at Christ the King Jesuit Preparatory School (CTK) on Chicago’s West Side, SAIC alum Richard Hunt (BAE 1975) unveiled a body of work which will remain on permanent view in the school’s art room, named in Hunt’s honor. “I am so proud to have a room named for me,” Hunt said, “but I hope that this generous contribution will also lend another dimension to the student’s art work here.” Hunt’s gifts include the sculpture Flight Forms, a model of a larger work on display at Midway International Airport, which he hopes will inspire students to soar to future success. The ceremony confirms Hunt’s continued encouragement and support of CTK students, whom he has previously welcomed into his studio.
