Alumna to Curate SAIC Exhibition at EXPO Chicago
Chicago-born, Los Angeles–based artist and SAIC alumna Amanda Ross-Ho (BFA 1998) will curate SAIC’s upcoming special exhibition at this summer’s EXPO Chicago. The Character and Shape of Illuminated Things, the artist’s major outdoor public installation, is currently exhibited on the MCA Plaza through November. SAIC department heads will nominate their strongest MFA candidates for Ross-Ho’s consideration. Emphasizing a multifaceted approach, Ross-Ho’s selections will span the Panting and Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, Performance, and Film, Video, New Media and Animation departments at SAIC. EXPO Chicago runs September 19–22 at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall.
