Alumna Named Executive Director of the Illinois Arts Council
SAIC alumna Tatiana Gant (BFA 1995) is the new Executive Director of the Illinois Arts Council (IAC), announced Illinois Governor Pat Quinn and IAC Agency Chairman Shirley R. Madigan on November 28. Since 2003, Gant has served as the agency’s Director of Arts-in-Education and is also Project Director for the Education Leaders Institute, a national education policy project implemented in cooperation with the National Endowment for the Arts. "The arts enrich our lives and make our state more vibrant. Tatiana has been a critical part of the council and I look forward to working with her to ensure we continue to support the arts throughout Illinois,” said Governor Quinn.
