Alumna Carrie Schneider to Speak at Sullivan Galleries

As her third solo exhibition at the gallery moniquemeloche draws to an end next month, SAIC alumna Carrie Schneider (MFA 2007) will  give a talk about her recent works in photography. Hosted by Director of the Museum of Contemporary Photography Natasha Egan, Schneider's talk will cover Reading Women, her series depicting different women reading in different settings and positions. Photographs from the series will also be the focus of moniquemeloche's solo booth in March at The Armory Show, the annual contemporary art fair in New York. Schneider also collaborates with choreographer and MacArthur "Genius" Grant award winner Kyle Abraham. Her short film will next accompany Abraham's performance series at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago February 20–23.
