Orientation: Parents

Each term, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) offers an orientation for parents and guests that coincides with the first day of New Student Orientation. During this orientation, you will have the opportunity to be part of your student's first day at SAIC; learn about SAIC resources; meet the SAIC President, faculty, and staff; and get to know other incoming students and their families.

Support from families and friends is really beneficial for many SAIC students, so we would like to take this opportunity to meet you and provide information and resources to assist you in supporting your student.

Parent and Guest Orientation includes:

• One day of programs designed to highlight the history and future of SAIC and to give you a true sense of the community your student will be joining. Sessions are specifically designed for parents and guests and will be presented by a variety of SAIC senior-level administrators
• A catered continental breakfast and lunch
• A Campus Resource and Vendor Fair where students, parents, and guests can meet staff members from a variety of offices and where you can get all of your last-minute questions answered
• The opportunity to connect with other parents and students in formal and informal settings and much, much more!
