Multicultural Affairs: Student Advocacy
Multicultural Affairs serves as a resource for SAIC students, with specific emphasis on the needs of students from underrepresented communities. It provides general advising and mentoring for students and their organizations. The staff acts as a listening post regarding a variety of issues, ranging from adjusting to college to establishing connections within the SAIC community.
The Director of Multicultural Affairs is the designated intake person for discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases. If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, review SAIC’s policy in the Student Handbook and make an appointment to speak with the Director of Multicultural Affairs. The institution’s goal in these matters is to create constructive solutions in assisting you with personal challenges, while providing support and guidance.
