Summer Resident Educators (SREs) are an integral part of SAIC’s Residence Life team in Jones Hall. The Residence Life staff provides summer students and guests with a healthy and safe living and learning environment, which supports the educational goals of SAIC students and our summer guests. This community includes many art-related conference groups and the Early College Program (ECP) for high school students.

ECP students will be the main focus of your work as an SRE. SREs support ECP residents in learning about SAIC and the greater Chicago community, and adjusting to living in a diverse urban environment. SREs will help ECP residents enjoy their experience in the residence halls by ensuring that all residents have a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay for a short 2–3 weeks or long 5-week period of time.
