Various locations throughout Chicago. Argo features dozens of tea and inventive tea concoctions (tea lattes, bubble tea, tea sangria). Pastries, sandwiches, and snacks are also available, though they lean toward the pricey side. Loose leaf and tea accessories available as well. Ask about the student loyalty club.

Bourgeois Pig Café
738 W. Fullerton Pkwy.

Small but charming. Good food including panini and salads, and fine coffee, in the heart of Lincoln Park.

Efebina's Cafe
1640 S. Blue Island Ave.

Located in Pilsen with an outside back patio. Café is spacious and laptop friendly.

Intelligentsia Coffee

Chicago's own, and increasingly revered coffee house. Fresh roasted beans are delivered to the cafés daily from their Fulton Market roasting works. Sandwiches, salads, and pastries are also available.

Kopi: A Traveler's Café

Relaxed atmosphere and an international boutique in the back. Live music most Mondays.

Lutz Café
2458 W. Montrose Ave.

Classic old-world atmosphere and Bavarian pastries and coffee served on cute little trays. Bakery in front, café in back—on the pricey side.

Metropolis Coffee Company
1039 W. Granville Ave.

Cozy Edgewater/Loyola café frequented by both young and old. Their motto: "Small batch, artisan roasting in the heart of Chicago."

New Wave Coffee

Located in Logan Square, serves sandwiches and offers free Wi-Fi.

Pick Me Up Café

Cozy and open late (until 3:00 a.m. on weekdays and 24 hours on weekends!), with good food and music. Free refills on organic coffee.

Uncommon Ground

Voted Chicago's best coffeehouse 10 years in a row. The proprietors are enthusiastic supporters of indie music. Coffee is served in bowls and the menu focuses on organic and sustainable ingredients. Good vegetarian and vegan options available.
